The Ranch is comprised of about 6 sections (+/- 3840 acres) of land which includes 2 ½ miles of direct private access to the Oldman River.

Our initial focus was the breeding and care of our herd of purebred Black Angus cattle, which includes growing hay and grain for their winter needs. In addition to this activity we have created at its centre a vibrant, private fly-fishing environment (in a beautiful natural setting which includes a multitude of wildlife species. Various raptors, deer, coyotes, grouse and partridge are plentiful.)

Normally we accommodate 8 guided fly-fishers and 4 guides allocated to those guests during their stay. We also cater to larger groups (12-15), depending on individual requirements such as meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment etc. (usually corporate clients combining outdoor activities and seminars/meetings).

The Lodge is completely ‘off grid’. Our power is generated by solar panels and augmented by a wind turbine… our back-up power source is a diesel generator, which we have never had to use. This allows us to maintain our rustic look while incorporating all the comforts of home. This year by request of our corporate guests we have power throughout which allows us to run satellite TV when required (CNN, Bloomberg, ROB, Weather and Sports etc.), we also have Wifi, Skype to Skype, Ipod and audio/visual capability.

The Lodge consists of a well-stocked authentic saloon, a total of 5 guest rooms located in the saloon (upstairs) and two cabins. Our dining room is located directly behind the saloon and attached to it we have a soft seating lounge. We also have a wood-burning sauna and 2 genuine Tipis.

The Lodge staff consist of an experienced Chef and Camp Attendent who have undertaken to ensure that all of our facilities are kept neat, clean and comfortable as well as providing crisp, clean bed-linen, towels and table settings. We also strongly believe that our guests need to complement excellent fishing with excellent meals and refreshments. Home grown 'Alberta Beef' often finds itself on our dinner table.

We offer an endless diversity and variety of fishery as well as unique and spectacular scenery coupled with an incredible lack of 'people pressure'.

Our fishing philosophy is simple… we practice’ catch and release’ and we want all of our guests to catch fish. No one leaves the breakfast table without a well thought out fishing plan for the day. With this attention to detail, it is our experience that fishermen of all skill levels can have fun.
